Godthaab, black and silver

Beaded earrings, using Toho 9/0 beads a.k.a. Greenlandic beads.

Theese beaded fringes has written Godt Haab on them.

In 1721 Hans Egede established the first colony in Greenland, on a island at the northside of the Godthåbsfjord entrens - he named the island Håbets Ø. in 1728 he moved the colony to its current location, witch on a church service on august the 29th same year was named Godthaab.

We call our city Nuuk and our self for Nuummiut.
